The special session of Bashkir parliament was dedicated to the problem of drought

The special 28th session of Bashkir parliament has taken place in Ufa today. The report of the Prime-Minister of Government RB Rail Sarbaev “The activity of the Government RB for overcoming the after-effects of the drought and preservation of the harvest-2010” was the main question, offered to consideration of the deputies.

Dry and very hot weather is observed on the territory RB since the middle of May.

The crops have died on the territory 1238 thousand hectares and more than 300 thousand hectares of crops haven’t received the sprouts. The winter crops died on the area about 200 thousand hectares and the spring crops – on 325 thousand hectares.

According to the calculations of the Government RB the crop capacity of fodder and grain crops won’t be higher than 30-40% of the average figures. The real hay harvest makes up 3-5 centners from one hectare and the green mass – not more than 35-40 centners.

In such conditions the Government RB is undertaking the emergency measures for overcoming the after-effects of the drought and for preservation of the harvest-2010.

In accordance with the governmental decree the emergency situation mode is declared on the territory of 54 municipalities and three city districts RB.

The materials for the loss expertise are prepared and introduced to the Russian scientific-technical center for emergency situations in agriculture. According to the preliminary estimations the material losses will make up more than 13,2 billion rubles.

The decision concerning prolongation of earlier distributed budget credits and leasing payments for the acquired agricultural machinery and cattle for the term up to three years is already approved at the Republican level.

It is planned to allocate about 12 billion rubles for the support of the Republican agricultural complex in 2010, including the direct subsidies - 1 billion 915 million rubles.

For today the subsidies for the total sum of 1 billion 454,4 billion rubles have already been transferred to the agricultural producers: 633,3 million rubles – from the Russian budget and 821,1 million rubles – from the Republican budget.
