The Chamber of rural settlements is under foundation in Bashkortostan

The Chamber of rural settlements is founded within the frames of the Association “The Council of municipal formations RB”. The administration of the Association has made this decision. The Chamber will include the heads of rural municipalities of all 54 regions of Bashkortostan – one representative from every region. The Chamber is called to become an efficient instrument for formation of local self-government in Bashkir rural settlements.

There are 895 municipal formations in Bashkortostan for today, including 817 rural settlements, inhabited by 40% of the Republican population. The rural municipalities face common problems and the Chamber of rural settlements is aimed at the solution of these problems.

The Chamber of rural settlements of the Council of municipal formations RB is founded analogously to the Chamber of rural settlements of the all-Russian Congress of municipal formations, working since January 2010. This idea already found support in many Russian regions.
