The Days of science and culture RB to be held in Istanbul

The Days of science and culture of Bashkortostan will be held on May 20-23 in the city of Istanbul, Turkey. The Days are organized by the Government RB, the Ministry of culture and national politics RB and by the Ministry of industry and external economic relations RB (found under reorganization now). As the Ministry of culture and national politics RB reports the traditional Bashkir sabantuy will take place within the frames of the Days in the center of Istanbul in the park Mechmed Akif Ersoy. Practically all actions of the Days will be held under the sign of the 120th anniversary of the prominent scientist and public activist Achmet-Zaki Validi Togan. Our famous compatriot is well-known, honored and respected here in Turkey and in Istanbul in particular. The Professor Validi Togan was working at the Istanbul University for many years. Thanks to his scientific works he has become one of the most famous Turk specialists in the world and here at the Istanbul University the international scientific-practical conference “History and culture of the nations of Europe: the past, the present and the future”, devoted to the 120th anniversary of Achmet-Zaki Validi, will be held. It is organized by the Academy of sciences RB, the Bashkir Academy of public service and management, the Institute of history, language and literature RB, the international organization for joint development of Turk culture and art “TURKSOY” and by the Ministry of culture and national politics RB with the participation of well-known scientists from Bashkortostan and Turkey.

Signing of the cooperation agreement between the Bashkir State University and the Istanbul University is scheduled on the eve of the conference’s opening and the National Museum RB and the National Library RB will open the exhibition, devoted to the 120th jubilee of Achmet-Zaki Validi here too in the foyer of the Istanbul University.

The troupe of the Bashkir Academic Dramatic Theater by M. Gafuri will show the performance “Achmet-Zaki Validi”, by the play of Najib Asanbaev in the building of “Reshad Nuri Sahnase” for the citizens of Istanbul.

The photo-exhibition about Bashkortostan will be opened during the sabantuy in the park Mechmed Akif Ersoy.
