Today is the international day of struggle for the rights of persons with disabilities

The world community marks the international day of struggle for the rights of persons with disabilities today. In our country these people belong to one of the most poorly protected categories as a rule. At present time about 13 million people with disabilities live in Russia and every year about 700 thousand people become invalids in the country.

Republic of Bashkortostan pays high attention to support of the people with disabilities. Thus, the actions for support of children-invalids are regularly held in many towns and regions RB. The authority opens special workplaces for the persons with disabilities. Good conditions for physical training of invalids exist in several Bashkir cities and many invalids don’t lose courage in spite of their tragedies, achieving good results in labor and sport and the fourfold Paralympic champion from Bashkortostan Irek Zaripov can be exemplified here.

On the eve of the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War special attention is paid to the invalids of war. Thus, the living conditions are improved for those veterans and invalids of war, who really need this improvement. Within the period between May 3 and 12 all invalids of the Great Patriotic War may use the public transport services absolutely free.
