Ufa honors veterans of the Great Patriotic War

Festive arrangements, devoted to the 65th anniversary of the Victory, are scheduled for every district of Ufa, the head of Ufa administration Paul Kachkaev told at today’s meeting of the Government RB, held under the chairmanship of the Prime-Minister of Government RB Rail Sarbaev. 3645 veterans of war and people, having survived through the Leningrad blockade, live in the capital of Bashkortostan for today.

The Ufa Mayor told in details about measures of social support for Ufa veterans. Thus, 176 participants of the war received housing certificates in 2009. All these people are supplied with housing today. Now the authorities of the city are searching for the variants for those veterans, who joined the queue for improvement of their living conditions after March 1, 2005. There are 275 such veterans now and other 40 applications are found under consideration.

“Ufa faces no problems with the flats for our veterans” – Paul Kachkaev stated.

Besides, Ufa authorities are responsible for the major repair of the veterans’ flats. 193 flats of 281 are repaired for today and this work will be continued.

On the eve of the great holiday every veteran will receive the one-time payment from the Government RB at the rate of one thousand rubles plus the plaid and the jacket with the jubilee’s symbols. Ufa enterprises are also preparing the gifts for their veterans. All veterans are already rewarded with the medals, devoted to the forthcoming celebrities.
