The official representative of Russian Mufti Council at “Al-Azkhar” may be appointed from Bashkortostan

A new official representative of the Russian Mufti Council at the International Islamic University “Al-Azkhar” will be most probably appointed from Bashkortostan, the deputy chairman of the Clerical Muslim Dept RB re education, external and public relations Ruslan Sayakhov reported yesterday.

The first representative of the Russian Mufti Council at “Al-Azkhar” was elected in April 2009 during the meeting of the Russian Mufti Council delegation with the students, studying at this University. It was the deputy chairman of the Coordination Compatriots Council in Egypt Rubin Munirov. But he will finish this activity soon and at present time the Russian Mufti Council is searching for a new candidate to this office.

The official representative of the Russian Mufti Council at “Al-Azkhar” has to solve all questions, concerned with the education of Russian students in Egypt and development of the international relations between the Russian Mufti Council and the Arab countries is also considered one of his obligations.
