The President of Bashkortostan will visit Austria

The President of Republic of Bashkortostan Murtaza Rakhimov will visit Austria with a work visit today.

In the town of Pochlarn Murtaza Rakhimov will visit the plant “Zemix” – one of the leading industrial divisions of the company “LASSELBERGER”. This plan manufactures wide range of building materials and equipment. In the course of the visit the President RB will hold work meetings with the top management of the company “LASSELBERGER”, where the aspects of enlargement of cooperation in sphere of low building are to be discussed.

The Minister of building, architecture and transport RB Ravil Ibatulin is accompanying the President of Bashkortostan during this trip.

In 2009 the external trade circulation between Bashkortostan and Austria made 10,5 million USD, including export – 2 million USD and import – 8,5 million USD. In the overall volume of Bashkortostan’s external trade circulation Austria stands on the 40 place with the share 2,0% (in 2009).

For the last years several large projects have been realized in Bashkortostan jointly with the Austrian colleagues. At present time the Austrian company “LASSELBERGER” is developing the project on construction of the plant for manufacturing of ceramic tile with the output capacity 20 million square meters per year in Ufimsky region RB. The investments of the Austrian company will make 120 million EUR. About 400 new workplaces will be opened at the plant. In 2009 the sum of investments from Austria made 14,6 million USD. At the beginning of 2010 the sum of accumulated Austrian investments in the republican economics made 105,9 million USD.
