Meeting with the chairman of Russian Savings Bank’s Ural Bank

On March 24 the President RB Murtaza Rakhimov held a work meeting with the chairman of the Russian Savings Bank’s Ural bank Vladimir Cherkashin in the Republic House.

The aspects of the Russian Savings Bank’s offices’ activity on the territory RB were under discussion and the proposals on cooperation between the Republic and the bank in sphere of hypothec crediting, support of agriculture, small and medium business and participation of the Russian Savings Bank in the project “Social Card RB” were under consideration in the course of the meeting.

Vladimir Cherkashin marked the positive experience of the Russian Savings Bank’s Bashkir office in popularization of the bank services on the territory of Bashkortostan. According to M-r Cherkashin during the crisis period the Bashkir office has managed to preserve the scopes of crediting and provide for the growth of bank deposits.

At the same time the President RB expressed his anxiety concerning the cut-back of the bank’s network in Bashkortostan. He said it would be important to preserve the availability of the bank services in Bashkortostan, especially in the villages, where more than 40% of the Republican population lived. As the chairman of the Russian Savings Bank’s Ural Bank reported, the matter was the reduction of the bank’s offices just in the most remote regions RB.

“We close only those offices, which work for example just 2-3 days a week and at that the list of services in other offices remains the same” – Vladimir Cherkashin said.

The first deputy Prime-Minister of Government RB, Minister of finances RB Airat Gaskarov, the chairman of the National Bank RB Rustem Mardanov and the head of the Russian Savings Bank’s Bashkir office Ulay Kinzabulatov also participated in the meeting.
