The second internet-bridge “Ufa-Haifa” has taken place at the Jewish public center

The second internet-bridge “Ufa-Haifa” has taken place at the Jewish public center in the capital RB. The first one, devoted to the 10th anniversary of the community of the natives RB in Israel, was held last spring. The topic of today’s talk was determined as “The dialogues about spirituality” and in order to cover so complicated and wide theme the chief rabbi of Ufa and Bashkortostan Dan Kritchevsky, the pro-rector of the Bashkir State University Gennady Kabakovitch, professors Simeon Spivak, Nom Samoilov and Vladislaw Benin, the head of the “Children’s Academy” Constantine Minyaev, the author of the books about life of Bashkortostan’s Jews Emma Shkurko and other representatives of intelligentsia were invited. On the other side of the “bridge” the rabbi of the Jewish national-cultural center-synagogue for Haifa’s Russian-speaking Jews Shaul Burstein, the head of the community of the natives RB Ariel Weisman and the pedagogue of Judaism Elena Kochina took part in the dialogue.

The participants of the forum didn’t strive for dotting their “i’s” cross their “t’s” over determination of so wide notion as spirituality but tried to discuss just some of its aspects since spirituality means “decency” for somebody and the sign of religiousness for others.

The live talk was lasting more than three hours -so actual and even painful the theme of spirituality in the epoch of endless talks about problems of the global crisis turned out to be.
