Government RB sums up the results of social-economic development in 2009 and sets new aims

The enlarged meeting of Government RB to the topic “The results of social-economic development RB in 2009 and the aims for 2010” is held in Ufa today with the participation of President RB Murtaza Rakhimov, chairman of the State Council RB Constantine Tolkatchev, Prime-Minister of Government RB Rail Sarbaev, deputies, heads of state power bodies and others.

Opening the governmental meeting the President RB Murtaza Rakhimov said the Republic finished 2009 with rather good indices. “All people say this is the financial crisis and I say we have to work hard” – the President RB underscored.

The Prime-Minister of Government RB Rail Sarbaev took the floor with the summary report:

“In 2009 Republic of Bashkortostan as well as other Russian regions have experienced the negative influence of the crisis after-effects but the margin of safety, accumulated in our economics beforehand, helped us to soften this effect” – he stated. According to the assessment of Russian Ministry of regional development Bashkortostan was included into the group of 14 Russian regions, where the anti-crisis measures turned out to be the most successful.

“We’ve managed to preserve the stability of our financial system, the rates of inflation were kept within reasonable limits, the situation in the labor market was kept under control and all social obligations, guaranteed by the state, were fulfilled in full volume and on some direction even with certain excess” – the Prime-Minister concluded. At the same time 2009 has become the strength test for the Republican economy and certain problems, affecting the final results, have been revealed in the Republic.
