Bashkortostan stands in the group of Russian regions with the most favorable demographic showings

Certain positive tendency in the demographic situation has become visible in our Republic in 2009. As the Prime-Minister of Government RB Rail Sarbaev reported to the Republican Government today, for the first time for the last 16 years the birth rate in Bashkortostan has exceeded the death rate by 2,3 thousand people.

“Realization of state social measures has provided for preservation of basic guarantees and the level of life for families with many kids and families with scanty means, people of older generation and invalids” – the Prime-Minister stated.

He mentioned the families with many kids received social payments for dwelling acquisition. 61 million rubles have been allocated by the regional budget for that in 2009. 28 families with many children have improved their living conditions. The monthly child allowances in 2009 made 732 million rubles in total complexity. The overall volume of the additional allowances to separate categories of families with many kids and families, living in the countryside, dependency allowances and child allowances made 226 million rubles. The Prime-Minister also added that within the frames of the program for population social support 85,4 thousand people have received social allowances and 17 thousand – the one-time moneyed assistance for the sum of 157,6 million rubles.
