Kazakhstan upholds the Year of Achmet-Zaki Validi

The international organization “TURKSOY” declared 2010 the Year of the Bashkir scientist, Professor Achmet-Zaki Validi Togan. One of the first actions, devoted to this event, will take place today at the National Library of Kazakhstan in Alma-Ata and prominent scientists from Kazakhstan, Turkey and Bashkortostan will take the floor at the conference “History and culture of Turk nations in works of Achmet-Zaki Validi Togan”.

Republic of Bashkortostan will be represented by the candidate of philosophy Gulnara Izberdina and philologist Ainur Khugakhmetov and their reports will be devoted to the following topics: “Formation of Achmet-Zaki Validi ideology” and “The image of Achmet-Zaki Validi in modern Bashkir prose”.

The Achmet-Zaki Validi son – the pedagogue, Professor, Doctor Subidey Togan, the representative of Bashkortostan in Kazakhstan Erjan Azanov, the representative of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of culture and national politics in “TURKSOY” Askar Turganbaev, the chairman of the Bashkir society “AGIDEL” Azamat Ryskildin, the leading Kazakh historians, Doctor of historical sciences Mambet Koigeldiev, Academician Kairat Sapargaleev and the Director of the Institute of history and ethnography by Chokan Valikhanov, Doctor of historical sciences Sattar Majitov will also take the floor at the forum.
