Scientific-practical conference on the problems of language and demography of urban Bashkirs to be held in Oktyabrsky

The town of Oktyabrsky will meet the participants of the VI interregional scientific-practical conference “Urban Bashkirs: problems of language and demography” on April 15. The conference will be held within the frames of the III World Bashkir Congress. The forum is organized by the Presidential Administration RB, Government RB, Ministry of culture and national politics RB, Ministry of health protection RB, the Academy of sciences RB, the World Bashkir Kurultay (Congress) executive committee, Oktyabrsky administration and by the Institute of history, language and literature under the Ufa Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of sciences.

The topics of the reports are: “The history of urban Bashkir population formation”, “Lingual situation in the western zone RB”, “Inter-ethnic contacts and problems of national consciousness”, “The problems of urbanization and preservation of ethnic identity of Bashkirs” and “Problems of national education under urban conditions, demography and health of urban population”.
