Murtaza Rakhimov wished the VI Congress of Ukrainians productive work

The President RB Murtaza Rakhimov sent the message of welcome to participants and guests of the VI Congress of Ukrainians RB:

“On behalf of the multinational population RB let me heartily congratulate you with the opening of your forum! I am sure the forum will contribute to further consolidation of Ukrainian population, making certain endowment to development of national cultures and to strengthening of friendship and cooperation in our native Republic.

The first Ukrainian settlements started to appear on the hospitable Bashkir land more than two centuries ago. Today Ukrainians live practically in all towns and regions of Bashkortostan. They actively participate in development of economics and social-spiritual sphere of Bashkortostan.

Our Republic made good conditions for preservation and development of Ukrainian language, Ukrainian culture and national traditions. The Republican national-cultural Ukrainian center “KOBZAR” works since 1990, the Union of Ukrainian Women “BEREGINA” – since 1996 and the Union of Ukrainian Youth “BERKUT” – since 1998.

5 general education schools and four Sunday schools successfully work in the Republic. 23 Ukrainian amateur folk groups work in the villages and settlements, where the majority of Ukrainians live. The only in Russia Ukrainian children’s kindergarten-school and the Ukrainian historical-cultural center in the village ZOLOTONOSHKA are very popular far beyond Bashkortostan.

It is important that we all want to see our Republic as well as the whole country prosperous, with high level of economic development and social protection and with bright and original culture of the nations, living here. The activity of the national-cultural communities contributes to consolidation of mutual understanding between nations and education of youth in the spirit of respect for national cultures, languages and traditions of the nations of our motherland – great Russia.

I wish all participants of the forum strong health, well-being, happiness and every success in all your deeds!
