“Motherhood Glory” – to mothers with many kids

The first in this year awarding ceremony for the mothers, having given birth to five and more kids, has taken place in the Republic House today. The President of Bashkortostan Murtaza Rakhimov has presented the medals “Motherhood Glory” to 49 women.

During 12 years beginning from 1998 Republic of Bashkortostan honors the keepers of hearth and home – mothers with many kids. It should be mentioned that Bashkortostan was the first Russian region on the post-Soviet space, having restored this good tradition.

For this period of time 83 awarding ceremonies have already taken place in ourRepublic and 4726 women have been rewarded with the medals.

“The decorating of our mothers is the most peasant ceremony for me” – Murtaza Rakhimov said – “Motherhood beautifies women and we always supported mothers with many children. This tradition will be continued”.

In reality the Republican authority has long ago passed from words to real deeds. In particular, along with the measures of state support, financed by the federal exchequer, our Republic keeps several grants and relieves, having no analogues anywhere else in Russia. Bashkortostan builds and reconstructs plenty of social objects – kindergartens, schools, hospitals, culture palaces and sport objects and the growth of birth rate has become the result of all these purposeful steps. As the President RB Murtaza Rakhimov underscored, the natality is registered in Bashkortostan at present time, i.e. birth rate exceeds death rate.

“55 thousand babies have been born in 2009. It is good but before the war this figure was equal to 166 thousand. It means we have the goal to strive for” – the President RB said.
