Ceremony of flowers imposition to the Eternal Fire in the Victory Park has taken place in Ufa

Imposition of flowers to the Eternal Fire and to the monuments of Heroes of the Soviet Union Alexander Matrosov and Minnigali Gubaidullin has taken place on the Defender of the Motherland Day in the Victory Park, Ufa. The President of Bashkortostan Murtaza Rakhimov, Chairman of State Council RB Constantine Tolkatchev, Prime-Minister of Government RB Rail Sarbaev and other officials have taken part in the solemn ceremony.

The celebrities in the Victory Park on the Defender of the Motherland Day have the undoubted shade of the forthcoming 65th anniversary of the Great Victory this year and it is not accidentally that after the flower ceremony the historical theatrical reconstruction “The Feat”, devoted to the defense of the Big Caucasian Ridge in 1942-1943 and to participation of the soldiers from Bashkiria in it, was held in the Victory Park.

As well as all over in Russia the military service in Bashkortostan is considered an ancient tradition. The feats of 20 Bashkir regiments, having taken part in the Patriotic War of 1812, are described both in the legends and the official documents. Bashkortostan has sent more than 700 thousand warriors to the struggle with German-fascist invaders during the Great Patriotic War. More than 300 thousand of our compatriots have fallen in the actions and the granite plates in the Victory Park remind of this feat.
