Christian church is sanctified in the village Russky Urmash

Eugene Rakhimkulov
The Archbishop of Ufa and Sterlitamac Nikon sanctified the restored Christian church in the village RUSSKY URMASH, Ufimsky region RB. In the Soviet epoch the church has fallen into decay. The first attempts to begin public worships here were undertaken in 1992 after the USSR breakdown. The archpriest Sergey Bklanov has celebrated the first thanksgiving service in the half-ruined church. As many parishioners, having been present in the church that moment, 18 years ago, say now, they couldn’t imagine that the domes with the gilded crosses would tower over the church’s building again.
In former times the church was named after the Holy Dmitry Solunsky. After the restoration works and the consecration the church is named after the Holy Seraphim Sarovsky.
