The meeting of the Governmental commission on regional development is open in Ufa Congress-Hall

Vladimir Putin is holding the meeting of the Governmental commission re regional development in Ufa today. The meeting is dedicated to development of IT in Russian regions.
The first deputy Chairman of Russian Government Igor Shuvalov, the deputies Chairman of Russian Government Sergey Ivanov, Dmitry Kozak, Sergey Sobyanin, members of Russian Government, heads of profiled ministries and departments, heads of Russian regions and municipalities of Russian Federation are taking part in its work.
“The theme of today’s meeting is introduction of information technologies to work of Russian regions and municipalities, including “e-government” project, and the success of the project depends on well-coordinated actions of all power branches” – Vladimir Putin said, opening the meeting – “This is the only way to build up the integrated system, adequate to the demands of modern economics and the society. Information technologies have long ago ceased to be something abstract and vague and the usage of these technologies allows shortening the time for getting the public services and raising the quality of these services”.
Vladimir Putin has mentioned that the number of citizens’ appeals to various state structures in the country makes about 360 million on average, i.e. every adult addresses himself to public structures three-four times per year, at that experiencing all “pleasures” of our offices.
“We have to save our people fr om the necessity to go round the offices” – Vladimir Putin said – “In the nearest future we have to build up the system of “e-public services”.
The head of the Russian Government has underscored that every citizen either in the region or in a municipal district should have the access to the information integrated communication channels, service portals etc. And the social card plays the role of the key to these services in many Russian regions, including Republic of Bashkortostan.
Vladimir Putin has highly appreciated the experience of our Republic in this sphere, which he became acquainted with during his visit to Ufa polyclinic N6. “I am sure people will say many thanks for that” – he said – “The e-card has to be the universal one, opening the access to all spheres of public services”.
In December 2009 the Government RF has approved the list of the main public services, which should be introduced in the e-format. Vladimir Putin urged the regions to start to be occupied with this problem more intensely and said this work would be closely monitored and estimated as one of the indices of efficiency in activity of regional authorities. In this connection the question concerning the additional support for those regions, which are the most successful in this sphere, is under consideration now.
Besides, the database, wh ere the best regional experience is accumulated, is planned to be formed and special commission, headed by Sergey Sobyanin, is established for control over this activity.
