The city Bashkir Kurultay to be held in Chelyabinsk today

The third city Bashkir Kurultay (gathering) will be held in Chelyabinsk today and more than 100 delegates and guests will participate in its work.

As the deputy chairman of the Bashkir kurultay in Chelyabinsk region Fluza Gaisina reported, the kurultay presents the interests of 31 thousand Bashkirs and working during more than 10 years it makes a noticeable endowment to the public-political and cultural life of the city of Chelyabinsk.

The today’s agenda includes the actual questions of the kurultay’s activity, including study of Bashkir language and participation in the forthcoming all-Russian population census.

The similar Bashkir gatherings will be held in all towns and districts of Chelyabinsk region, where the Bashkir communities are present. The six regional kurultay, where the delegates to the III World Bashkir Kurultay are to be elected, will sum up the totals of these gatherings.
