Bashkortostan intends to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory with dignity

Preparations for celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War were in the focus of attention at today’s meeting of Government RB.

“Slightly more than three months left till this historical date” – the Prime-Minister of Government RB Rail Sarbaev said – “Unfortunately the number of veterans, taking part in that war, comes down every year and main our duty and responsibility is to relieve their life”.

The deputy Prime-Minister of Government RB, Minister of labor and population social protection RB Fidus Yamaltdinov began his report with the words of the President of Russia: “Any global crises and financial difficulties mustn’t affect the execution of our social obligations before the veterans of war”.

According to the latest information 3698 invalids of war, 6752 participants of war, 1383 former servicemen, 287 former minor prisoners of fascist concentration camps and 250 citizens, rewarded with the sign “The Citizen of blockaded Leningrad” live in Bashkortostan, plus more than 32 thousand members of the deceased invalids and participants of the Great Patriotic War and more than 79 thousand toilers of the home front.

All measures of social support for the veterans and members of their families, anticipated by the federal and the Republican legislations, are provided timely and in a full volume, the Vice-Premier underscored.

In accordance with the approved plan of actions, devoted to the 65th anniversary of the Victory, the military parade in Ufa with participation of the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the festive concert of masters of arts RB and the reception, devoted to the Victory Day are scheduled in Ufa.

The deputy Prime-Minister of Government RB, Minister of culture and national politics RB Ildus Ilishev told how they were preparing for holding of the festive arrangements. His Ministry is responsible for 54 of 72 actions, included in the plan. In particular he reported that the work over the film about labor contribution of the Republic would be over by the Victory Day. The film is shot by the cinema-studio “Bashkortostan”.

“One more theme in preparation for the 65th anniversary is exposure of the war monuments” – Ildus Ilishev reported – “On the territory of Bashkortostan there are 27 monuments, devoted to the Great Patriotic War and these monuments are considered the objects of cultural heritage, including 18 burial places and nine memorials. Besides, we’ve collected the information about 1846 available burial places and memorials from all municipalities; we intend to complete the registration of all these places before March”.

Besides, as M-r Ilishev reported, the construction of the monument to the legendary commander of the 112th Bashkir cavalry division, General Minnigali Shaimuratov will be completed by May 9, 2010, and this question is found under special control of the Prime-Minister of Government RB Rail Sarbaev.
