President RB Murtaza Rakhimov presented state awards of Russian Federation and Republic of Bashkortostan on Wednesday. Production pacemakers, representatives of intelligentsia and public community received prizes, honorable diplomas and letters of welcome from hands of the head of the region.
“To my mind presentation of the deserved awards is the most pleasant procedure” – the President RB said – “Because people, having made a substantial contribution to social and economical prosperity of Bashkortostan, gathered here today”.
The notorious crisis introduced its corrections to economic indices of the Republic and President RB admitted too that 2009 was harder than the previous year. But on the background of other Russian regions situation in Bashkortostan looks more stable. The region avoided stagnation of the production, managed to bring unemployment to the minimum, supporting agrarians and small and medium business. Even such index as the retail trade turnover hasn’t practically changed as compared with 2008.
Bashkir authorities have done much in 2009 to avoid aggravation of people’s living standards. In spite of the crisis the unique project on development of low building was successfully launched in our Republic. Thousand budget employees will acquire new cottages in Ufa suburbs.
“We intend to build at least 5000 cottages” – Murtaza Rakhimov reported.
Though because of the crisis the building sector of Bashkortostan slightly lost its positions, more than 2 million square meters of dwelling have been put into operation in 2009.
The fact that birth rate in the region steadily goes up, speaks for itself. More than 55 thousand babies have been born in 2009 and this is the main barometer of the society’s prosperity. Besides, the birth rate grows because young people have confidence in the future.
