President of Bashkortostan rewarded the best

More than 60 representatives of different spheres of economics, social and lawful spheres received high Republican awards today. Solemn ceremony has taken place in the Republic House and President RB Murtaza Rakhimov presented the awards personally.

The honorable diploma RB was presented to the head of the Presidential Administration RB Nikolai Kurapov.

This day will be the memorable date for Ufa engine plant (UMPO). The whole team of the best workers of UMPO with the top-manager Alexander Artukhov at the head received the insignia “For selfless labor in Republic of Bashkortostan”, honorable diplomas RB and other awards.

“This is the young director and he managed to preserve the collective of the plant in very severe conditions” – so the President RB characterized the General Director of JSC “UMPO” – “Today the plant works with profit and its output is meant mainly for China, India, Malaysia and Algeria. They produce the unique engines”.

Alexander Artukhov told how the plant lived today. Not long ago the branch meeting has taken place in Moscow and JSC “UMPO” was called the leader by all production indices. In the nearest future the plant will be supplied with the orders. In particular, it is decided to buy 96 aircrafts for the needs of Russian Air Forces and the lion’s share of the machines will be equipped with the engines, produced by “UMPO”. In 2009 the plant received 700 million rubles for development of its production and it was just a part of the state aid, meant for the machine-building branch.

Activists of culture, transport workers, employees of social sphere and physical culture, teachers, medics, economists, oil workers and lawyers have become the recipients of the Republican awards today.

“Bashkortostan lives and creates” – President RB said – “And this is great merit of all you”.

President RB added that by many indices-2009 our Republic looked not worse than in 2008 and even the Bashkir agrarians managed to receive good grain harvest in spite of the drought. Murtaza Rakhimov wished all comers every success, health and happiness in the New Year.
