President RB Murtaza Rakhimov congratulated employees and veterans of the Republican security services with their professional holiday – the Security Services Day, celebrated on December 20:

“Dear employees and veterans of the security services!

Let me heartily congratulate you with your professional holiday – the Day of Russian security service employees!

Your service occupies special position in the system of Russian law-enforcement bodies, solving the most complicated state missions and today this activity faces the highest demand: this is the struggle with terrorist threats, suppression of political and religious extremism, neutralization of intelligence actions of foreign special services, extirpation of corruption, struggle with drug business and organized criminality and many other missions. The results of your activity visually prove the efficiency of secret services as an efficient state instrument for protection of Russian national interests.

The employees of security services were always notable for their competence, bravery and high responsibility. I am sure your fidelity to oath and your professional duty will further serve as the guarantor for preservation of stability in our society, safety and peace of our citizens and will contribute to dynamical development of the country as well as of its regions.
