Problems of gender policy were discussed in the Trade-Union House

The problem of feminine labor rights protection was discussed today by the Republican trade-unions. The doctor of sociological sciences, the head of sociology chair at the Bashkir State University Flura Burkhanova made the report about situation in sphere of gender policy both in the country and in our Republic. According to her still many unsolved problems concerning discrimination of women in sphere of labor relations are left in Russia.

“Certain preference is still given to men in acceptance for employment, during distribution of higher wages and in career development” – she said – “Women are more often dismissed and stay jobless during about five months on average and more often forced out to more poorly paid offices”.
