Murtaza Rakhimov congratulated Eleanor Mitrofanova with election to the post of the chairman of UNESCO executive committee

President RB Murtaza Rakhimov sent the letter to the permanent representative of Russian Federation under UNESCO Eleanor Mitrofanova, congratulating her with election to the post of the chairman of UNESCO executive committee:

“Dear Eleanor Valentinovna! Let me heartily congratulate you with your election to the post of the chairman of UNESCO executive committee.

For the first time in more than 60-year-old history of this authoritative organization the representative of Russian Federation heads the UNESCO executive committee and this remarkable fact corresponds to the international role of modern Russia, possessing the richest experience of participation practically in all spheres of UNESCO competence in the best way possible.

Republic of Bashkortostan, being one of the leading Russian regions, maintains active bonds with UNESCO for more than 10 years, taking part in many of its arrangements, programs and projects. Thus, the joint action – presentation of Republic of Bashkortostan – has been held in March 2008 in the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris. The cooperation agreement between UNESCO and Republic of Bashkortostan was signed there. This document determined the prior directions in cooperation in spheres of education, science and culture, information and communication, youth policy, sport and tourism” – said in the letter.

Murtaza Rakhimov wished Eleanor Mitrofanova well-being and every success in her responsible international activity and invited her to visit Bashkortostan.
