Vladimir Putin will hold “direct phone line” with Russians today

The Chairman of Russian Government Vladimir Putin will hold already the eighth “direct phone line” with Russian citizens today. The TV-program “Talking to Vladimir Putin: continuation” will be broadcasted live at 12 o’clock by TV-channels “Russia”, “VESTI” and by the radio-stations “MAYAK” and “Radio of Russia”.
This time one may question the chairman of Russian Government and the leader of “United Russia” not just during the TV-program but by phone 8-800-200-40-40 (the call is free) with the help of SMS to the number 04040 (also free) and on the site of the TV-program http://www.moskva-putinu.ru.
By December 2 more than 700000 calls have been received for Vladimir Putin from Russians, the electronic mass-media report. According to the Putin’s news-service 470 phone calls, 150 thousand SMS and 37 thousand letters have already been received to the address of the program.
The news-secretary of Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov reports Vladimir Putin is actively preparing himself for the dialogue with Russians and looks through the majority of incoming questions personally. Judging from the list of the most frequently asked questions Russians are mainly interested in social problems of the country: the amount of family allowances, problems of employment during the crisis period, observation of the labor legislation by employers, medical provision etc. The “motor-car” subject-matter is also popular: Russian citizens are interested in benzene prices and worry about the possibility of the transport tax rise. The questions concerning security represent one more block of questions and here Russians are interested in the investigation concerning the crash of “NEVSKY EXPRESS”, corruption in Russian law-enforcement bodies and ongoing activity of gaming establishments in spite of the strict prohibition.
