Murtaza Rakhimov: The ties of friendship between Bashkortostan and Saint-Petersburg are sealed with historical memory and good deeds of many generations

President RB Murtaza Rakhimov sent complimentary address to the participants and guests of the informational and business mission “Saint-Petersburg-Republic of Bashkortostan”:

“Dear friends!

On behalf of multinational population of our Republic let me heartily welcome you on the hospitable Bashkir land in connection with the beginning of work of the informational and business mission “Saint-Petersburg-Republic of Bashkortostan”!

Bashkortostan is considered one of powerful and large Russian regions, holding important place in its social-economic and spiritual life. The geographical position of Bashkortostan, rich resources, production, scientific-technical and cultural-spiritual potential, political stability and international agreement are considered a good base for development of mutually beneficial cooperation in economic and cultural spheres with CIS and non-CIS countries.

Today Bashkortostan and Saint-Petersburg make weighty endowment to social-economic development of the country and successfully develop cooperation in many spheres of public life. We are bound with centuries-old ties of friendship and cultural and economic interrelations, sealed with historical memory and good deeds of many generations.

Your initiative on restoration of the mission deserves the all-sided backing and I am certain we will be able to make its main idea – opening the free way to public initiatives, making comfortable conditions for business and widening informational and cultural exchanges - a reality. We will be happy to sign various contracts, realization of joint projects and establishment of multi-sided contacts in the interests of our regions.
