President RB Murtaza Rakhimov welcomes participants of the Days of Perm region Bashkir culture

The Days of Perm Bashkir culture are held in Republic of Bashkortostan and large delegation, including officials, scientists, businessmen and Bashkir folk amateur groups, arrived in Ufa from Perm. President RB Murtaza Rakhimov welcomed the guests:

“Dear friends!

On behalf of the multinational population of Bashkortostan let me heartily greet you on the Bashkir land and congratulate you with opening of the Days of Perm region Bashkir culture!

Modern Bashkortostan possesses the efficient system of preservation of the inter-ethnic agreement and friendship and centuries-old interaction of languages, cultures and religions is considered its solid foundation. The experience of our Republic in holding the national-cultural policy is very interesting and the program “Bashkirs of Russian Federation”, aimed at state support of consolidation, social and cultural development of Bashkir nation, including Bashkir communities in other Russian regions, comes out as an important constituent of this policy.

Bashkirs of the clan GAINA live in Perm region from the ancient times. According to the all-Russian population census-2002 Bashkir population is the fourth in the ethnic structure of the region after Russians, Tatars and Komi-Permyaks, making more than 40 thousand people.

I am certain the Days of Perm region Bashkir culture will allow citizens RB to become acquainted with the activity of the regional Perm Bashkir congress, the Bashkir language and culture center better and to get to know their interesting beginnings. Let this remarkable holiday contribute to restoration of our historical traditions and further consolidation of friendship and love with our native land.
