The V Congress of Mordvinian nation begins in Saransk today

The V congress of Mordvinian nation begins in Saransk today and delegation RB, headed by the chairman of the Mordvinian national-cultural autonomy RB Nikolai Gerasimov, will take part in its work. President of Bashkortostan Murtaza Rakhimov sent his complimentary address to the participants of this representative forum, where more than 300 delegates expected to take part in, on behalf of the multinational population of Bashkortostan.

“Mordvinians occupy a worthy place in our common home –Russia – in the course of the whole millennium” – said in the Presidential message – “From the most ancient times about 30 thousand representatives of this nation with their richest history, traditions, culture and way of life live in Republic of Bashkortostan and we are happy that today they bring weighty endowment to consolidation of international cooperation as the solid base for formation of civil peace and harmony in our society. Multinationality and unity of different nations and their efficient commonwealth are our main and unique treasure. The field meetings of Finno-Ugric nations’ international association Council are regularly held in our Republic. Mordvinian language is studied at 13 Republican schools and qualified specialists are trained especially for Mordvinians at our secondary education institutions. Mordvinian collectives are permanent participants of Republican and interregional folk festivals and contests”.

President of Bashkortostan has expressed assurance that the congress will contribute to further development of Mordvinian culture and language, consolidation of mutual understanding an cooperation of all nations in multinational Russia and to upbringing of our youth in the spirit of respect for national cultures, languages and traditions of our great Motherland.
