Presentation of the book “Live Memory” has taken place in Ufa

Presentation of the book “Live Memory” has taken place in the National Library by Achmet-Zaki Validi in Ufa. It was initiated by the Association of political repressions’ victims, which prepared the book, and by the National Library RB. Activists of the Association, representatives of Bashkir parliament, Government RB and Ufa administration participated in the presentation.

“Publication of the book “Live Memory” – the book about victims of the political repressions – is an important event not just for our Association but for our Republic in a whole” – chairman of the Association Maginur Utyabaeva said.

According to archive information more than 50 thousand people had been subjected to repressions in Bashkortostan – so called “public enemies”, convicted in accordance with the notorious article N58 of the Soviet Criminal Code.
