Congress of “Fair Russia” to be held in Moscow today

The IV congress of the political party “Fair Russia” will be held in Moscow today and more than two thousand people and two dozens foreign delegations expected to participate in its work. The agenda includes the adoption of the party’s Program, alteration of the party’s Regulations and election of the leading party bodies. Chairman of the party, chairman of Russian Federation Council Sergey Mironov will make the main report.

“The main task of the congress is adoption of the party’s program in a whole. Our program is devoted to a Russian citizen, to the possibility to build up new socialism in our country and triumph of justice” – Sergey Mironov stated on the eve of the congress. As he explained, delegates have to alter the party’s regulations, in particular, the name of the party, registered as “Fair Russia: Motherland/Pensioners/Life”. Three words – “motherland”, “pensioners” and “life”, which stood for three parties – “Motherland, “The Party of Pensioners” and “The Party of Life”, originally standing near the springs of “Fair Russia”, will be removed from the official party’s name, because at present time “Fair Russia” consists of already nine smaller political parties.
