President RB Murtaza Rakhimov met with leadership of French company “Saint-Gobain”

On June 19 President RB Murtaza Rakhimov met with the general director of the company “Saint-Gobain Building Production Russ”, CIS manager M-r Thierry Fournier. Some aspects on achievement of the project on erection of the plant for production of gypsum pasteboards in Bashkortostan were under discussion. M-r Fournier thanked President RB for his all-sided assistance on development of this project. As he said, Bashkortostan provides comfortable conditions for achievement of large investment projects.

“Our companies work in different regions and I have enough to compare with. All questions, connected with construction of new production are solved in your Republic quickly and on-the fly and as for the project on erection of the plant for production of gypsum pasteboards in Bashkortostan, our company considers it as a top priority” – M-r Fournier said.

President RB answered that building branch in Bashkortostan needed modern materials because of active housing building development. He believes this new plant will become a good help in development of local building industry.

The project provides the quarrying for gypsum staff mining at the rate of 350-400 thousand tons annually and erection of the plant for production of gypsum pasteboards with the capacity 30-40 million square meters annually. The volume of investments is estimated at more than 100 million euro. The plant will open about 200 new workplaces.

Minister of building, architecture and transport RB Ravil Ibatullin, deputy director of the company “Saint-Gobain Building Production Russ” Nikolai Troitsky and business development department director of the French company Gregory Zadorozny also took part in the negotiations.
