Cochlear implantation operations will start in Bashkortostan on May-June

In accordance with the agreement reached at the meeting of President RB Murtaza Rakhimov with the director of the scientific-clinical otolaryngology center under Ministry of health protection and social development RF Nikolai Daihes in Ufa, January 2009, the joint work on opening the office of the scientific-clinical otolaryngology center in Ufa started in the Republic. “Ufa administration has already determined the site for the future clinic” – State Duma deputy Salia Murzabaeva reports – “We plan that the polyclinic for specialized ambulance aiding for population RB and Ural and Volga federal districts will function in the staff of the center”. At the initial stage of the project it was planned that the aiding would be funded by the federal exchequer on the base of already existing specialized wards in the Republican clinical hospital by G. Kuvatov and in the children’s Republican clinical hospital N21. The decision concerning allocation of quotes for performing high-tech operations on the base of the existing wards beginning from the III quarter 2009 was reached yesterday. “We schedule 10 high-tech cochlear implantation operations already in May-June 2009” – Salia Murzabaeva said. Taking wide spreading of ENT-pathologies in the region into account the State Duma deputy called the decision re opening of the otolaryngology center in Bashkortostan quite opportune. This step proves the priority of social policy, conducted by President RB Murtaza Rakhimov in health sphere.
