President RB Murtaza Rakhimov has taken part in discussion of Russian Government’s anti-crisis program

President RB Murtaza Rakhimov has taken part in the meeting re achievement of Russian Government’s anti-crisis program-2009 on March 30 in Nizhniy Novgorod. The meeting was held under chairmanship of the deputy Chairman of Government RF Alexander Zukov. Alexander Zukov outlined the current situation in economics and social sphere of Russia. In particular, he pointed to the slowing of unemployment rates. The highest level of unemployment is registered in the regions, where processing industries dominate.

“It is important that employment services’ activity would be well-coordinated in such regions” – Alexander Zukov said.

President of Bashkortostan Murtaza Rakhimov told about present situation in the labor market and about measures for reduction of the crisis negative after-effects in his report. He has underscored that the measures for preservation of workplaces become the most important in the program of anti-crisis measures. Thus, the program on assistance to population employment was approved in the Republic additionally to the already running program. The sum allocated for this program will make up more than 575 million rubles. The overall financing volume on these measures will exceed 2,5 billion rubles.

As President RB stated, Bashkir Government has undertaken the series of steps, called to neutralize the first wave of the crisis. In this connection, as President RB mentioned, the experience of Bashkortostan in this sphere will be important in the discussion of Russian Government’s anti-crisis program. Stable positions of Bashkortostan are proved by Russian Ministry of regional development. The monitoring of social-economic progress in January 2009, made by the Ministry, has shown that Bashkortostan is found in the group of Russian regions, having stable economic positions.

The positions of Bashkir leadership in the crisis period have been ventilated by President RB earlier in his Message to State Council-Kurultay-RB. President RB called “resoluteness and succession” the most important factors for overcoming economic difficulties. The essence of the strategy in development of the Republic, as President RB supposes, is to overcome the crisis uniting the efforts of the state and the society, preserving the main achievements and fulfilling all social obligations, thus gaining new quality in economic progress.
