Andre Manin: Bashkir autonomy is the unprecedented act in history of Russia

Minister of Republic of Karelia on national politics issues and relations with religious communities Andre Manin pointed to the importance of the scientific-practical conference, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Bashkir autonomy, for all republics in the staff of Russian Federation.

“This is the unique phenomenon in history of our country” – he said – “The first case of autonomy, which is of paramount importance for all republics in the staff of Russia, so the delegation of our republic considers the today’s event in the first turn as a chance to gain experience because same holiday will be celebrated by us in a year. We will also celebrate the 90th anniversary of our autonomy. Today we will talk what the history of our republics has in common and what common ways of progress can be. I do hope that the guests, who are present in this hall today, will come to Petrozavodsk in a year to join us”.
