In Bashkiria, motorcyclist ended up in maximum-security penal colony for drunk driving
The Bizhbulyak Interdistrict Court handed down a guilty verdict in a criminal case against a resident of the Yermekeyevsky District. The man was found guilty of operating a motorcycle while intoxicated, having a prior conviction for a similar offense.
According to the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bashkortostan, in September 2025, having already been punished previously, he once again got behind the wheel of a motorcycle after consuming alcohol. During his drunk "joyride," the motorcyclist was stopped by traffic police officers. In court, the defendant fully admitted his guilt.
The court sentenced him to 1 year of imprisonment to be served in a maximum-security penal colony. In addition, the man was banned from operating vehicles for 4 years and 6 months, and the motorcycle was confiscated as state property.
