

The court reviewed a criminal case against a former senior state inspector for road safety of the registration and examination department of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Russian Interior Ministry Directorate for Sterlitamak and sent the case for a new trial.
By the verdict of the court of first instance, he was found guilty of committing crimes provided for by the articles "bribery" and "official forgery." He was sentenced to 3 years and 2 months of imprisonment, a fine of 250 thousand rubles, and the deprivation of the right to hold positions in law enforcement agencies for 3 years. He was also stripped of his special rank of "police captain."
According to the unified press service of the courts of the Republic of Bashkortostan, in connection with a substantial violation of criminal procedural legislation during the consideration of the criminal case and the sentencing by the court of first instance, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Bashkortostan, having considered the criminal case, ruled to overturn the court's verdict and send the case for a new judicial review from the stage of the trial with a different composition of the court.
