A mass fish kill occurred on Lake Aksakovskoye in the Karmaskalinsky District. Local residents discovered the unpleasant scene the day before and reported it to the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Specialists from the department conducted an on-site inspection. No sources of pollution that could have caused the fish death were found. This was reported to Bashinform by Renara Gazina, press secretary of the Ministry of Nature Management and Ecology.
Water samples were taken at the site to determine the level of pollution in the lake. Final conclusions about the causes of the incident will be made after receiving and comprehensively analyzing the results of laboratory tests.
