In Ufa, guy transferred all of his mom's money to scammers

A 22-year-old local resident fell victim to fraudsters and transferred more than 600,000 rubles to them.

The perpetrators followed a classic scheme: first, they called the guy via a messenger, introduced themselves as State Services employees, and lured an access code out of him. Then they reported that his personal account had been hacked, and soon a "FSB officer" contacted him.

The scammers intimidated the young man by claiming that his mother was facing criminal liability for aiding unfriendly states. To "save" the family budget, the scammers convinced him to take his mother's phone, log in to the banking application, and transfer all the funds first to his own card, then to the scammers' account. When the mother found out what had happened, she contacted the police. The police initiated a criminal case under the article on fraud, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Bashkortostan reported.

Earlier, a resident of Bashkiria gave a tidy sum to scammers.
