In Ufa, firefighters rescued 18 people from burning high-rise building

There were no casualties.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Bashkortostan, yesterday evening, emergency services received a report of a fire in a 20-story residential building on Mendeleev Street.

The property caught fire in an apartment on the 7th floor. The area of the fire was 15 square meters. Gas and smoke protection service units rescued 18 people, including 7 children, from the zone affected by hazardous fire factors. Another 113 people, including 9 children, evacuated on their own before the firefighters arrived.

The cause of the fire is being established by an investigator from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
