In the Republic of Bashkortostan, the police have initiated criminal cases based on facts of fuel theft at Lukoil gas stations.
Assailants would fill up their vehicles and drive away without paying for the gasoline. One of them, a 36-year-old driver of a Skoda Octavia, misappropriated approximately 26,000 rubles worth of fuel over the past year. Another, a 42-year-old driver of a Hyundai, stole fuel worth more than 2,700 rubles.
Investigations into both cases are currently underway, the regional State Traffic Inspectorate reported. Once all checks are completed, the cases will be sent to court.
Police and security services continue to work to identify other similar incidents at gas stations across the republic.
