Resident of Bashkortostan was convicted for modifying and selling crossbow

The Blagoveshchensk District Court has passed sentence in a criminal case against a local resident, according to the Prosecutor's Office of Bashkortostan.

The court established that in June 2024, the man, while at home, purchased a crossbow on the internet and modified it into a throwing weapon. A few months later, he posted a sales advertisement and sold it in June of last year for 100,000 rubles. The defendant pleaded guilty to the crimes.

The court sentenced him to 1 year and 6 months of correctional labor, with 5% of his wages withheld for the state's revenue.
