In Yanaul, four children were hospitalized after visiting a swimming pool. All showed signs of chlorine poisoning.
The young patients were admitted to intensive care and transferred to a pediatric ward the following day. They are currently in satisfactory condition and preparing for discharge, said the republic's health minister, Airat Rakhmatullin.
According to the Bashkortostan Prosecutor's Office, the incident occurred on the evening of December 12. The children were attending swimming lessons when an unauthorized release of chlorine vapor occurred. As a result, the children felt unwell and required medical assistance. The supervisory authority is conducting an investigation.
