In the Beloretsk district, a 43-year-old woman was tricked by scammers over several months, according to the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The criminals convinced the woman that her personal account on the "Gosuslugi" government portal had been hacked and that her money was being transferred abroad. To "protect" her savings, she sent her funds to what they called a "safe account."
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Bashkiria reminds citizens: if you receive suspicious calls about alleged unauthorized transactions, it's best to end the conversation immediately. Do not transfer your money to so-called safe accounts, and never share your personal information or bank details with strangers over the phone.
