Shift workers from Republic of Bashkortostan bribed doctor for fake sick leaves
The district therapist systematically issued fake sick leaves in exchange for bribes.
According to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan, from February to November 2024, residents of the Khaybullinsky district working on a rotational basis, to avoid going to work and receive sick leave payments, gave bribes to a district therapist of the district hospital for the preparation and issuance of fake disability certificates.
The doctor was given between 3,000 and 10,000 rubles, depending on the length of the sick leave and other conditions. At present, criminal cases on these facts have been sent to court. A criminal investigation is also underway into the actions of the former therapist, the agency reported.
