According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Bashkortostan, a resident of the Sharansky District was deceived by fraudsters who convinced her to withdraw her savings and transfer them to specified accounts. The scammers posed as employees of an energy supply company and Roskomnadzor. As a result, the pensioner lost 4.9 million rubles.
In Ufa, scammers called a 20-year-old student, introducing themselves as employees of her educational institution, the Central Bank, and law enforcement agencies. Under the pretext of confirming her phone number, a breach of the Gosuslugi portal, and protecting her money from fraudulent actions, they persuaded her to transfer over 800,000 rubles. The transfer was prevented by her parents, who noticed something was wrong in time.
