

A strong earthquake occurred in Tashkent and other regions of Uzbekistan. According to media reports, the magnitude in Tashkent was 5 points. The magnitude ranged from 4 to 6 points in other areas of the country.
There were no reports of casualties or damage.
In Almaty, Kyzylorda, and Turkestan regions of Kazakhstan, residents also felt tremors. According to seismologists, they amounted to 2 points.
The earthquake’s epicenter was located 848 km southwest of Almaty in Afghanistan, Kazinform reports regarding the website of the Seismological Experimental Methodological Expedition LLP of the National Center for Seismological Observations and Research JSC.
Earlier, it was reported that an earthquake of magnitude 3 was felt in Shymkent and Taraz.
The earthquake also affected other countries - Turkmenistan, India, Pakistan, Tajikistan, China, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
