Video of medical staff detention in Bashkiria caught on bribe for fake COVID certificates is made public

The criminal facts were revealed in the course of the operational-search activities of the FSB officers for the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs RB.

The Sibay Interdistrict Investigation Department initiated two criminal cases against the biologist of the clinical diagnostic laboratory and the nurse of the adult department of the Central City Hospital of Sibay. They are suspected of crimes under the articles "bribe-taking" and "official forgery and complicity in its commission."

According to the press service of the regional Investigative Committee, in September 2021, a nurse, having agreed to the illegal offer of her colleague, prepared forged medical documents about allegedly conducting examinations of nine citizens before being vaccinated against COVID. She also entered into the unified state information system of health care false information about their vaccination. She made fake vaccination certificates and handed them over to the citizens through an accomplice. For the services rendered, the laboratory employee received 45 thousand rubles from them, of which 19 thousand rubles were transferred to the nurse.

On the video, made public by the FSB Directorate for Bashkiria, it can be seen that a special powder was found on the hands of the medical worker, with which documents and money were previously marked with attesting witnesses.

Now, investigative actions are being carried out with the suspects, the issue of applying a measure of restraint is being decided. Investigators continue to establish all the circumstances of the crimes committed and the suspects' involvement in similar criminal facts.
