Homemade explosives were found at abandoned construction site in Ufa: terrorist attack was being prepared

A warehouse of improvised explosive devices was found at an abandoned construction site in the center of Ufa. Officers of the FSB of Russia in Bashkiria prevented a terrorist attack and detained five members of a neo-Nazi group from 17 to 20 years old. According to the press service of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Bashkortostan, several criminal cases were initiated under the articles "Preparation for committing a terrorist act", "Undergoing training to carry out terrorist activities," and "Illegal manufacture of explosives, illegal manufacture, alteration or repair of explosive devices".

The main ideological inspirer was a 19-year-old Ufa resident. Together with four accomplices, he prepared and studied the manufacture of bombs to arrange a terrorist attack and set the product in action in government agencies and law enforcement agencies.

"He disseminated the ideas of neo-Nazism among the accomplices, repeatedly organized their training in the rules of handling weapons, the skills of making homemade explosive mixtures and substances, the study of specialized literature on combat tactics and other training activities to gain knowledge and skills for carrying out terrorist activities," the Investigative Committee informs.

In addition to the explosives found at the abandoned construction site, the components and instructions for making it, as well as nine pieces of cold steel, images of the leaders of the Third Reich, and other nationalist paraphernalia were found in the five figures on the case. All suspects have been arrested.
