Radiy Khabirov instructed to check all 21 private nursing homes in Bashkiria

The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, during a meeting of the emergency operations center at the scene of a fire in a private nursing home for the elderly in the Abzelilovsky district, instructed the Government RB to consider a possibility of providing financial assistance to the victims and relatives of the victims. Also, the Head of the Region instructed to organize events related to the funeral of the victims.

Also, relatives of the injured and the dead were notified of the tragedy. Psychologists work on site.

"33 people, 14 units of equipment took part in the fire extinguishing. By the time the firemen arrived, the house was completely engulfed in flames," Farit Gumerov, Chief of the RB State Committee for Emergency Situations said.

Radiy Khabirov instructed the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection to check each such institution in the republic.

The prosecutor's office and the Investigative Committee will give a legal assessment of the accident, the Head of the Region specified.

Radiy Khabirov did not rule out that, following the investigation results, it would be necessary to approach the issue of licensing the private nursing homes activity.

As previously reported, on December 15, 11 people died in a fire in the village of Ishbuldino; an emergency mode was introduced there.

Earlier, the Bashinform News Agency reported that the burned down building was registered as a House of Mercy in March 2019.
